DESIGN FOR PRINT

Whilst digital advertising and marketing does offers greater reach and cost effectiveness, it is a lot easier to be deleted or forgotten about than a physical leaflet or brochure.

Good print design will add that ‘wow factor’ to your brochure, leaflet, adverts and even a simple business card! Combining years of experience with the latest technology, I not only know what looks good, I am able to create high quality finished artwork fit for any print process.

Having actually worked as a graphic designer for a printing company, I am very familiar with the whole printing process and have a full understanding of what works and more importantly what doesn’t. I also have a good working relationship with a number of local printers, which means I can handle all of your printing needs.

If you prefer, I will deal directly with your own printer or supply you with the flight checked printed-ready artwork. If you need a magazine advert designing, I will work directly with the publication to ensure that the artwork meets their specifications, and your advert will look its best.

There are basically two main print processes, digital and the more traditional lithographic.

If you really want your printed product to look its best, or you need a large print run, then the lithographic print process is certainly the way to go. Having said that, the quality of digital printing is getting better all the time and is ideal for short runs, personalisation and mail merges.

Don’t worry if you are not sure which way to go, we will discuss this during the initial brief. I can then explain the pros and cons of each process in detail and show you samples of previously printed work.

I can design for, as well as source for printing on all sorts of media including promotional items, ceramics, clothing etc and large format printing such as exhibition graphics, signage and vehicle livery.
